Supplies:

Sewing machine in good working order (remember your foot pedal, power cord & operator’s manual)

Rotary cutter

Basic sewing supplies (thread snips, seam ripper, etc.)

Cotton thread to blend with your fabrics.  You will be doing topstitching, a minor amount of quilting and stitch-in-the-ditch so bring appropriate threads 

Soft and Stable at least 18” x 45”

Peltex or Timtex 4” x 18”

DecorBond 12” x 18”

Magnetic snap – optional

Fabric:

One Salem quilt guild panel

¼ yard accent fabric

1 yard fabric for lining and handles.

Before class:

Cut two strips of accent fabric 2” x width of fabric

Cut the panel pieces:

The large picture piece is cut 16 x 20”

The pumpkin and witch hats are cut 6½ x 6½”

The quilt show block and potion bottles block are cut 6½” x 12½”

Stitching spells class is cut 6½” x 8½”

Books and scrolls block is cut 6½” x 10½”

From the lining color cut the following:

two pieces 16 x 20”

one piece 4” x width of fabric for handles

two pieces

one piece 6½” x 6½” and one piece 6½” x 12½” for pocket linings.
