What is slow stitching?
Slow stitching is a relaxing, mindful hand sewing.
The projects are small and the stitching is not elaborate. It’s meant to bring joy and relaxation. The block consist of small scraps of vintage or new fabrics, lace, ribbons, buttons and embroidery.
Any scraps work for this project, old or new.
This is a wonderful project for using old vintage doilies, dresser scarves, hankies, and any vintage scraps of lace you have.
The pieces are arranged on a 8x10 piece of cotton batting, basted down and are then embellished with lace, stitching, beads, charms or what ever you have to make it beautiful!
This project is a wonderful no stress project. They make beautiful gifts, they can be framed, put in a journal or hung as a wall hanging.
I love sharing some of my treasures and stitching with new friends. I hope you will join me!
